Noémia Bessa Vilela
Noémia Bessa Vilela is a PhD candidate at the Oporto Global University – Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique. Holder of a LLB, LLM, MSc and MPhil, as well as a Specialization in Procedural Law, she is a full time researcher at IJP – Portuguese Institute for Legal Research. Activist and reporter in the field of Human Rights, she held the position of Member of the Executive Commission for the Portuguese Observatory of Human Rights from 2015 to 2017. Between 2016 and 2018 she was also a Senior Research Assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor. Author of several papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, some of which are indexed in Scopus and Web-of-Science, her main research interests are EU Law, EU policy and Human Rights.
