Sarah Smit
Sarah Smit holds a master in Population and Development Studies from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) and worked as a research assistant on the quality of the legal aid given to asylum seekers in Belgium (UNHCR). She is now a PhD candidate in sociology at UCL. Her research project focuses on international migration, agency and social networks by exploring the phenomenon of going back to higher studies by extra-European adult migrants in the host country.
