Noëlle Quénivet
Noëlle Quénivet is Associate Professor in International Law, Bristol Law School of the University of the West of England (UK). She has been teaching and researching at the University of the West of England since 2006. She currently teaches Public International Law and co-teaches European Union Law on the LLB programme and International Humanitarian Law on the LLM programme.
She holds a degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of the University of Strasbourg (France) with an ERASMUS year spent at the University of Graz (Austria), a LLM in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham (UK) and a PhD from the University of Essex (UK).
Prior to working at UWE she was a Researcher at the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict of the Ruhr-University of Bochum (German) and completed internships at the UNHCR in London (UK), the Council of Europe and the Consulate of France in Düsseldorf (German).
She is mostly specialised in the law relating to armed conflict with particular expertise in the protection of women and children and so her publications include a wide range of books and journal articles in this field. She has co-authored with Christian Dadomo European Union Law (Hall & Stott, 2nd edn 2017).
