Eduardo Manuel Oliveira e Sousa
Eduardo Manuel Oliveira e Sousa is a Porto-based academic researcher and lawyer. He graduated as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2009 from Lusíada University of Porto (Universidade Lusíada do Porto, currently known as Lusíada University of the North - Porto (Universidade Lusíada do Norte – Porto), starting that same year his graduate work at the Faculty of Law, University of Porto (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto) which concluded with the dissertation entitled “IUS CURIAE: The effects of the interpretative rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union” (IUS CURIAE: Os efeitos dos acórdãos interpretativos do Tribunal de Justiça da União Europeia), being awarded the degree of Master of Laws (MPhil Law): Specialization in Legal and Political Sciences, in 2012. He’s currently working on his Doctoral thesis (PhD Law) on the subject of the Invalidity of internal provisions incompatible with EU Law (A invalidade da norma interna incompatível com o Direito da União Europeia) and currently holds the position of Integrated Researcher at CEJEA (Centro de Estudos Jurídicos Económicos e Ambientais) at Lusíada University of the North – Porto. He is also a lawyer, currently practising in Porto, Portugal.
